Programme

Day 1: Hamburg - Chocolate Museum

The adventure tour at CHOCOVERSUM follows the tracks of bitter cocoa beans on their way to fine chocolate. Touching and tasting are explicitly allowed. As a highlight, each participant get to create their very own favorite chocolate bar.

Day 2: Port of Hamburg - Speicherstadt - UNESCO

Start the day with a cruise past the Speicherstadt warehouse district, HafenCity and container terminals. Afterwards, get to know Speicherstadt on a guided tour telling you of the old warehouses and office buildings, and recalling stories about “Pfeffersäcke” (lit. pepper sacks, a derisive term for Hanseatic merchants) and spice traders.

Day 3: Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial

Learn more about the Neuengamme Concentration Camp Memorial on a guided tour. More than 100.000 people were imprisoned here during World War II.

Day 4: Thalia Theatre

Today, you visit a play at the Thalia Theatre, whose mix of classic and contemporary pieces have made it a favourite among young visitors.

Day 5: Departure
